Right on the edge of downtown Austin and protected as an historic district, Clarksville real estate is almost exclusively residential. Well established and diverse, you’ll find many small Clarksville homes on modest lots right next to 8 bedroom mansions and estates. Turn of the century Craftsman homes, bungalows and late Victorian architecture are common and though you won’t see a lot of new development, you will find some modern condos, studios and small lofts here and there. The home ownership rate in Clarksville is over 90%.

Clarksville is currently an extremely trendy Austin neighborhood. Rich in history, within walking distance to downtown and infused with a strong community spirit, Clarksville real estate appeals to young families, professionals and artists alike. This is a perfect neighborhood for anyone who loves Austin’s eclectisism. Though it was founded as a freedman’s community on the outskirts of town in 1871, Clarksville is no longer on the fringes.
This is a vibrant residential neighborhood with a robust mix of cute houses, greenspace and places to go. Clarksville residents enjoy old time soda fountains, locally owned corner stores, fine restaurants, boutiques, bakeries, lots of cafes and plenty of funky destinations right outside their doors.
